Chemical resistant coatings

Coatings can be specified to resist almost any chemical, but the choice of coating will depend on a range of factors including the type of chemical, substrate to be coated, concentration, ambient temperature etc. Coatings commonly used for chemical resistance include epoxies, polypropylene, chlorinated rubbers, glass-flake coatings, nylon and polyurethanes. Fluoropolymers in use for this purpose include PTFE, PVDF, PFA, ETFE, ETFCE, FEP. (Trade names include Teflon, Xylan, Halar, Dykor, Greblon)
